Good use of percussion. Great use actually, it's constant change throughout the beginning kept my interest. Sadly it didn't change much after. The synth underlying in 1:04 fades under the mix too hard. I suggest adjusting the phaser. The ambience effects were nice, but only keep attention for so long. Needs a break earlier imho but the break around 3:33 was done well. And the sub bass is a bit loud.

Thank you for the review. I'll keep it in mind for next time. Honestly, I didn't master any part of the track. I just dropped everything into the pot and stirred it together. Somethings, I get into mastering and by the end I'm not happy with the result so I just drop the track. Thanks again for the detailed advice!

Decent ambient piece. Needs some improvement in mastering. The extreme one sided panning is an annoyance if used to too long and the beginning scared the shit out of me.
Some of it i like. Some of it i don't.

ThePulp responds:

This was pretty much just one sound effect that I screwed around with for a couple of hours to create this weird sounding piece.

It's not all that good, I agree.

Great use of percussion! Could use a little more variation in the first and last bit.

Thank you‼ Yes, that's some of the details you only notice after the music is done, but I will keep in mind for my next works.

Rock On‼

interesting ideas, and enjoyable pitches and lay out. but the percussion and mastering needs a lot of work. some stuff sounds very scratchy, and some stuff too loud. Mastering is extremely important, an annoying clap is enough to make the whole song sound bad. the synths were on a pretty good stand point in those terms however. I would re-EQ your drums if i were you. That could make the whole thing a lot more enjoyable without changing the actual song itself

Druids-Warcry responds:

EQ is fine, its your speakers that cant handle the epic bang of that bass, but i agree the clap is gay as fuck

i can really tell effort was put into this song, the mastering is great, and the structure as well. Simple yet effective and delightful.

ps. i like your theory on anti-buildups i might try it sometime.

johnfn responds:

thanks! send me a link if you ever end up using the same idea :)

make your own circle? ;)

Darknessbreaker responds:

Haha. :) I could do that and i know some people that would help me with that (and of course join it) but i should get better before ^^

Starts out straight forward with the 8-bit feel. i can hear some nice small touches here and there. And additionally really interesting synths such as the one around 0:33. Simple yet Satisfying, and a very enjoyable listen. Although this song doesn't have a strong replay value because of it's repetitiveness it has enough minor changes to keep the listener interested. Nice song 4/5.

chipdealr responds:

Thank you for the detailed review, and I'm glad you enjoyed it and took it for what it was, a simple and fun little tune :)

However a bit loud, the voice is clear. Its starts off with a bit too much distortion with the initial pad. But it sounds great nonetheless. The arps used are interesting and the music itself has its catchy parts and is upbeat and exciting.
